Becoming evolves from that. If you take chunks out of an ecosystem, suddenly there are edges, a gap.
Pigments are seductive. Bought ready mixed as paint in tubes, their generative potential has a way of making a painter’s fingers itch. They light a creative spark inside and I’ve been pondering this spark, this need to paint, for a long time. Paint is about becoming. This is the overarching theme of my work.
